Indonesia and Bali: arrival card, e-VOA and Bali levy

Travelling to Bali from Italy, Germany or France means three separate steps on three different official websites.

The three steps (checked 31 Oct 2026)

1. All Indonesia arrival cardallindonesia.imigrasi.go.id (also an app)Free
2. e-VOA (tourist visa on arrival, B1)evisa.imigrasi.go.idRp500,000 shown on the portal; an increase has been announced
3. Bali tourist levy (Bali only)lovebali.baliprov.go.id (also an app)IDR 150,000 per person

1. All Indonesia arrival card (free)

Since 1 October 2025 every passenger arriving from abroad must fill in the All Indonesia declaration. It combines immigration, health, quarantine and customs in one form and replaces the old customs e-CD. It is free of charge.

  • When: from 3 days before arrival until the day of arrival. It cannot be submitted earlier. The government advises doing it before boarding.
  • Family or group: up to 10 travellers in one application.
  • After submission you get a QR code; show it at check-in and on arrival.
  • The arrival card is not a visa: the e-VOA is a separate application.

2. e-VOA – electronic visa on arrival (B1 tourist)

  • Cost: the official portal shows Rp500,000. An increase (to Rp750,000 online and Rp1,000,000 on arrival) was announced in August 2026, without a start date. Always check the portal on the day you apply.
  • Stay: up to 30 days from arrival, extendable once for another 30 days. Single entry.
  • You must enter Indonesia within 90 days of the visa being issued.
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months; outbound ticket from Indonesia.
  • Payment by card (Mastercard, Visa or JCB). The fee is not refunded for errors in the application: a mistake means a new application and a new fee.
  • The official FAQ advises applying at least 48 hours before departure.
  • Photo: colour JPEG/JPG/PNG, at least 400 × 600 px, max 2 MB. Passport page: sharp, not cropped or folded, in landscape format.
  • Overstaying costs IDR 1,000,000 per day per person.

3. Bali tourist levy

  • IDR 150,000 per person, paid once per trip to Bali. Tourists with an e-VOA are not exempt.
  • The Bali government strongly encourages paying online before departure; counters at the airport and seaport also exist. Payment is cashless only.
  • You receive a voucher with a QR code by email. The levy is non-refundable.

Beware of look-alike websites

Official Indonesian government websites end in .go.id. The Indonesian immigration office has warned about fake e-VOA sites that appear at the top of search results.

Do it yourself, or with help
